Mayor’s Music Series in Rahway

Beginning April 23rd and lasting until October, enjoy live music events throughout Rahway's downtown. Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe has taken the lead to host a variety of music, ranging from funk to rock to Latin and jazz, all to add an audio vibe to Rahway’s streets and downtown Arts District.

 

“Art Blooms” in Cherry Hill 

Mayor Susan Shin Angulo and the Cherry Hill Township Council invite you to Art Blooms. Proceeds collected from entries into Art Blooms and Fall Into the Arts are used to provide a scholarship to a Cherry Hill High School East and West student in the art, music, or theater fields. On occasion, the Board will purchase a piece of art for their permanent collection, displayed in the Cherry Hill Municipal Building.

 

4 Printmakers at Jersey City Hall

The John W. Meagher Rotunda Gallery, located on the second and third floors of City Hall, features rotating monthly exhibitions curated by the Office of Cultural Affairs. It currently features an installation entitled Spring Shower / Field of Tears featuring over 500 handmade paper tears hung from jewelry wire. The work of three other printmakers are also on display. This exhibition brings together four artists whose work, in some way, addresses the urgency so many people feel living at this moment in time..

 

Mayor's Quote of the Month

Regarding first grants totaling $850,000 from Jersey City Arts & Culture Trust Fund, Mayor Stephen Fulop says, “Our local artists and arts organizations define our City as a local destination for arts and culture, and our investments today will have invaluable impacts for generations to come,” said Mayor Fulop. “The more we support and invest in our burgeoning arts community, the more we can promote and expand wide-ranging opportunities for all of our residents…”
