Grant Funds Available for Plans to Develop Underutilized Public Spaces

A new opportunity is now available to develop underutilized public spaces (think about including arts and culture!). Grants up to $50,000 are available through the NJEDA’s Economic Recovery Fund. Applications are being accepted until Oct. 24 and will be scored on asset impact, community engagement, previous experience, and other factors.

 

Haddonfield Mayor Appointed to South Jersey Film Office Cooperative

Haddonfield Mayor Colleen Bianco Bezich was recently appointed to the South Jersey Film Office Collaborative established earlier this year to encourage television and movie studios to film in Camden and Gloucester counties. Bezich’s prior experience includes video production and providing pro bono services to artists and arts organizations for more than a decade.

 

Are Nonprofit Arts Groups in Your Town Benefitting from ARPA Funds?

Several New Jersey counties are offering grants from American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds to nonprofit arts organizations that suffered significant losses due to the COVID19 pandemic. In Monmouth County 13 nonprofit art groups received grants totaling nearly $3.5 million. NJ League of Municipalities Conference

Join us at the NJ League of Municipalities Conference Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. in Room 416 of the Atlantic City Convention Center for a panel discussion on how arts and culture can help revive struggling downtowns.
