National Study Finds Local Arts Agencies are Catalysts for Art Vibrancy

Recent research conducted by SMU Data Arts pointed to multiple ways that local arts agencies are catalysts for art vibrancy in their communities. The more grant dollars they have to invest in artists and arts organizations and the more programs and services they provide, the more their communities pulse with arts-driven creative and economic life, vigor, and activity. The Art of Healing

Jane Zamost, former Healing Arts Program Coordinator for Capital Health in Hopewell, describes her work, the role of the arts in healing, and a recent exhibit of visual art at the Arts Council of Princeton. She says, β€œWhen life is challenging, creativity offers us a respite from the day and the ability to find our flow. In my opinion, it’s a necessity in our lives, no different from nourishing ourselves well and staying fit.”
